Re: Suggest-a-Map

There should be a new map that's on set at a porn movie, with a nice interactive background

Slicknife - It's a good map in my opinion. My suggestion would be to make it easier getting to the top center. This would discourage camping. Maybe take out those things sticking from the sides. Also, as it stands now, there wouldn't be much of a reason to go in those tunnels. You'd just get trapped, grenaded, and killed. Think of a way to make that level useful.

If you want to spice things up, try giving each side a different advantage. For example, the right side could be given higher ground or faster access to the center, and at the same time, it could have a big hole, whereas the left does not. Think The Island II. The right has the hill with the stairs to stand on, but it's very easy to fall in the middle pit.

thanks for your feedback,

you're right, the tunnels are kinda useless because a single wall can ruin the whole thing. It would also require another platform to gain access to the top.

Even though it is there is a lot of other ways it could land in a spot to kill that player.

Lots of people complain about unequality of sides/turn orders because of autos in the “TW3 suggestions” topic. So, you should remake your map to exclude the possibility of making an autokill to equal the sides.

Re: Suggest-a-Map

Thats a horrible idea, it would just force people to try and fine it for EVERY map, and it would start camping even more once one player from each side is gone. Plus if the enemy auto kills one of your players, and you try and fail then there is an imbalance. I would discard that idea to be honest.

Re: Suggest-a-Map

People don't seem to understand the fact that these map suggestions are merely for ideas Afro could use.  Just don't assume Afro will take our maps, colour it, and slap it into the game, because he won't.  So theres no use trying to point out things like autos.

Btw, thanks Alien.

Re: Suggest-a-Map

Seems more like a King of the Hill revamp than a base, but suggestions are suggestions.

Re: Suggest-a-Map

Well, we could incorporate an interesting button program to interact with the enviroment.
e.g.
if <[user]Player 2[/user] or [user]Player 2[/user]> touching [sprite] Merry-Go-Round Button[/sprite]
{then <<[sprite] Merry-Go-Round Horse1[/sprite] and [sprite] Merry-Go-Round Horse2[/sprite]> and [sprite] Merry-Go-Round Horse3[/sprite] move 5 steps up, move 5steps down}
else
{<<[sprite] Merry-Go-Round Horse1[/sprite] and [sprite] Merry-Go-Round Horse2[/sprite]> and [sprite] Merry-Go-Round Horse3[/sprite] go to x:Something, y:Something}

We could also move the Ferris Wheel, or there could be a Popcon stand whose roof tips off, then back on again. Stuff like that.

What's this for, exactly? if this is for a suggestion in tw3, you should post it there instead

But thinking ahead, this is an interesting idea, but it would just lag the game

Unless maybe a background foreground interaction that lets you make something pop out? [plat,wall, etc]

Actually, this belongs here because it is connected to my proposed map.

Try to think beyond a bunch of floating platforms, we already have plenty of those maps suggested.

I'm fairly certain that we've established no dynamic stages, as well as no dynamic objects within stages. It would complicate the game too much, as well as lag players. We'd also like to stay away from dynamic backgrounds, as (in the case with Crystal Cavs) it does lag users as well.

Re: Suggest-a-Map

Alright. Sorry, I didn't hear about the rule against dynamic stages. It would be kind of funny is we could, though. Like, you stand somewhere and trigger a landmine, so your opponent dies.

Re: Suggest-a-Map

That would be really cool if it was in a campaign mode, but the board members already shoo'd my idea of a one player away
