people seem to think "hacking" is downloading a trainer and pressing the buttons. you obviously dont know what hacking is and to be honest only a few do. Yeah, I have no idea why these people will be on for what seems days at a time, yet they won't talk or play.

Re: Major security holes in lobby.

Hi. I am Multi. Psychotic uses trainers all the time and also cheats by other means(he is from CDH). I think this thing is for the better. I especially use it on cheaters and have successfully got people to stop cheating. I also, believe it or not, have seen less bad talk in lobby. A lot of people are starting to hear about this now and know they can get banned. I am on all the time and I have noticed a difference.
About Alec.... I played him once and he randomly accused me of calling him gay as soon as the match started. He did it as a joke. It was weird but funny. And then a few weeks later I played him(on another account) and then was asking if I was gay.. very strange...
Walrus, I rarely do that. That is partly what rockets are for and if you are truly good then you shake it off and continue determined. I don't mind when people do it to me. It makes for a good challenge and is pretty satisfying if I end up winning. What was your user name? Did i win? If you say no then this is really embarrassing. xD Don't lie. :l
Also. Talk to Ura and and if you seem like you would make a good mod ask her and you might get it... Even if you don't hang out in barracks and moderate you can still ban people that you catch cheating.

Why are kids so amused by the word gay? I don't get it.

Re: Major security holes in lobby.

The cybering is pretty straightforward, but sulliman is right about needing concrete requirements for banning.  When should you ban hackers?  How many times should you ban them?  For how long?  Should you ban people who are obviously trolling/saying gross things/being racist?  I mean if someone called me a "fucking jew-bitch cunt" for no reason, I don't think anyone's going to be deriving much conversational value out of them.

On the other hand, these people may still play the game, and Afro makes money when they do.  So that's another issue.

Bunny, I've noticed that you have to manually unban people.  Have you considered setting up timers for the ban list so that you can ban people for an hour or whatnot?  It might make things easier to manage that way.

Re: Major security holes in lobby.

Yeah, i've thought about that and it would be pretty easy to do i think. I'll probably add it in soon.

Edit: also, I guess I'm inclined to let trolls stay but I probably wouldn't complain if another mod wanted to boot them. Does that sound fair?

Re: Major security holes in lobby.

Urabunny how many people have you given powers to?

Also I noticed less of the people who make barracks famous when you're there.
I personaly am for this as long as the people whom are given the power can be trusted with it.

Re: Major security holes in lobby.

There is like 8 people I think that Ura has given powers to. I think this is it: Me(Multi), ,Guest,, Maegara(often on as t), Six, Rilycool, MaddyRose, Imbkitty, earowo.
Remember they all come on all different accounts. They are on mod list by ip.
Most active mods are me, ,guest,, Six, and Maegara.
Some mods are not very actve.

Re: Major security holes in lobby.

I've got a few questions still. How exactly did Urabunny and Multiverse sign up immediatly after we mentioned you guys.....
Plus, how do you know you can trust all those people Urabunny?

Re: Major security holes in lobby.

Oh. I didn't mention Rilycool has been very active too. More active than six or guest. He has been on everyday moderating. And Mae just became mod this morning.
And, I am rarely on as MultiverseMaster moderating. I am often on as null and as t.
Also, I am making a xat chat group where mods can talk etc. I will make it tomorrow.

Oh ok.

@ Multiverse When I battled you, you were a good player, but I still personally doubt you could have beaten me without killing 3 of my guys with the rocket. My username on TWO is Dinoman346, although now that I know your a mod, no wonder you were asking me if I was that guy who kept saying "Multiverse sucks". Just to restate this, I still thought the rockets were a bit cheap but certainly not enough to where I would spam the lobby saying you suck (especially now that I know your a mod LOL).

Re: Major security holes in lobby.

People here are either in a clan, or retired, at least for the most part.

I'm in hsh, but I rarely play anymore. Still up for a good fight every once and a while though.

www.hhreborn.webs.com

I would advise not to make a clan unless you have 2 or 3 other dedicated to it, and have enough skill to beat almost anyone. It seems like a really cool idea to do, I know. But once you actually start it, it becomes tougher. 95% of clans last less than a month.

Name is also very important. Make it original, but not too stupid. You also need to be a good website designer. Good luck if you decide to have a go at it.

Re: Major security holes in lobby.

If you do start a clan, you seriously have to learn not to use first turn rockets. Every major clan (in fact, really EVERY clan) will not allow first turn rockets in a clan war.

Re: Major security holes in lobby.

I love when people use first turn rockets, unless it is on void, or a 6v6 match. Makes defense worlds easier otherwise.

Re: Major security holes in lobby.

Oh and I know name has to be important. Its gotta be attractive.
It bugs me how so many good people are in SNM. And if a good player is thinking about joining a clan they are most likely gonna join SNM. Good players need to be spread out. Whats the point in having multiple gaming clans if there is only 1 truly good clan.
Part of the reason good players only joining snm is prolly cause they dont wanna be in a shitty clan they wanna be in the best and there are no other good ones... thats why im gonna make this one one of the best.
Im tellin you... I have a way with words and alot of time on my hands... I think I could get somthin epic going. yikes
Anyways this should be on another thread lol.

Alright that's cool. Just to make sure on this, and I'm certain you weren't going to do this. But please, don't use your moderator privilages to try and influence some players to join your clan.
