Re: Post your strategies/set ups here

I think eminem somtimes gets an unfair judgement because people listen to some of his songs that are kind of goofy and funny and not serious. That was more towards the beginning of his career. Now he is towards the back of his career and his songs are almost all serious. There is a reason he is one of the most respected among other rappers. He has the ability to end peoples careers in his raps. He also recieved the Artist of the decade award. He was the top selling act in all of music in the the first decade of the 2000s. He sold 80 million units worldwide in that decade. His 2009 Album, "Relapse", is widely considered his worst album he has recorded and it still hit platinum.

Bragging about sales doesn't impress. Miley Cyrus and the Joe Bros are famous, consumers are stupid. Name a rapper that he ended the career of.

Perhaps you should try branching out to find artists that aren't in the Top 40. Base your masic taste on what is good to listen to not what other people tell you to listen to.

JaRule, Benzin, Jermaine Dupri. He had battles with all three of these guys and their careers have never been the same since.

I totally agree with this. I like eminem because I like his style of music. I am a big fan of B.O.B I found his music about 2 years ago and he is now becoming a household name. Everyone will have their own opinions. It all comes down to what each individual likes. There is no bad music. There is just music that appeals to different people.

Why's the entire 3rd page of a TWO strategies discussion about Eminem? I'm not even going to bother to voice my opinions on Eminem or his music, this was actually a good topic and doesn't deserve to get fucked up.

You see kids, that's what good trolling is. Make a statement that you know will piss people off while being discrete. I think eminem is talented, but I don't respect him much because a lot of his songs are poop humor.

Seriously though, if I said soulja boy was better, wouldn't that tip you off that I wasn't serious?

Anyway, BACK ON TOPIC GUYS.

Re: Post your strategies/set ups here

Here's my Cano Strat of Cano-ness.

Not the best IMO, but still pretty good to get me somewhere.

http://i949.photobucket.com/albums/ad333/Deepfrier/VolcanoStrat1.png

See the plat in the back? I use it to get up, as you probably already assumed. It's cut off, but whatever.

The blasted part below my man who's on the tip of the plat is nice, but doesn't matter. It is hard to lay damage on the tip of the plat guy with a normal nade, unless you can get it right near the peak below the plat, which is nearly impossible. The blasted part can reassure that a normal nade won't rape that guy, and most of that space is done by the enemy.

EDIT: I discovered a beast autokill for pit, and I don't know where to put this. I don't want to clutter the Strat section, so I'm going to say it here.

If your opponent uses a wall to get to the large floating rock on their side, you can get your second dude to go full distance, on you're floating rock, pull out a normal nade, 48 it, and throw it full power. It should kill the first guy on their team, assuming he stopped on the top of the stairs.

I've gotten a few "Wows" and such, but it is hard to pull off. The wall has to be put a certain way, the enemy has to be placed a certain way, and you must pull off a tricky nade. I know there is an autokill requiring you're opponent to use a platform to get up, but I have yet to accomplish it.

Beginning: Like I said above, 48 full power
http://i949.photobucket.com/albums/ad333/Deepfrier/Pitkillpart2.png

Aftermath. Takes out player 1.

Re: Post your strategies/set ups here

I see two flaws in your Volcano strategy.

1. Your opponent can easily bounce a regular grenade on the wall that Player 4 is on, to make some trouble. Another clever way for your opponent to take advantage of that wall is, if he keeps trying different positions and angles to bounce off a grenade on that wall, I'm sure one of them would blow up in the middle of the two other walls causing alot of damage.

2. If any of your players miss a jump or get blown off your fort and land on the right side, you have nowhere to go because you're blocked off by the platform and the walls you placed.

@ Your auto in Pit:

Your entire auto depends on how exactly where your opponent places his wall, and where he stands. So the chances that both those things work for the auto, really aren't good. Plus, most players I know don't stand at that exact place because it is extremely exposed and easy to hit. So sorry to burst your bubble, but this really isn't a "beast" auto.

EDIT: I just noticed that instead of wasting your turn with those odds and hopping for a kill, there is an obvious autokill that kills Player 2, that works 100% of the time.

Re: Post your strategies/set ups here

Goomy, I know a better one. On your first turn, stand on the spikes and then implement your normal strategy. When it's player one's turn again, walk forward to the very top of the centre spike. Impact nade, maximum elevation, full power. It hits the exact same spot that you showed but doesn't rely on where they placed the walls and by this point, there's usually 3 or 4 people standing there. Yes, they have more time to counter it by building a platform but if they haven't it's definitely worth a go as it traps 3/4 people.

~Btw i've found out 2 more grenade throws for the left side that deal 60 damage.

I know about that one. It's a nice one, but knowing me, I would mess that up big time. I know a trap with the second player on the big rock on your side. Blows up a step, and traps 4 people. Who knows, if they haven't moved 2 yet, it may rebound off a step and into the trap. If that happens, you have trapped 5 people, and layed 40 damage on player 2.

Not to be a jerk again tongue. But that really only work while playing noobs. Good players won't bunch up their players like that, and also place a platform above therefor making more protection.

Re: Post your strategies/set ups here

Actually, you'd be surprised. A lot of people do indeed put a platform there but some people think that you'll anticipate them being good and you not doing it in which case, you do.

Re: Post your strategies/set ups here

Yeah, players either use a wall to get up with the platform roof. Or, platform to get up, and sometimes a wall for extra protection.

Both of those strategies block the angle you were talking about Crimson.

Here is my new pit stuff...

Here is my Super Omega Ultra Pit Strat (AkA : SOUPS)

And yea... Here it goes.

http://i949.photobucket.com/albums/ad333/Deepfrier/SuperPitUltraStrat.png

When doing this strat, make sure you have that ledge where 2 is standing on. With this strat, it is nearly impossible to land a nade from far away.

player one is really easy to nade, plus you have no offense if the don't move to the middle.

i had to shop this shizz a little because i was too lazy to go back and do it again.

Basically, you'd only need two players for this strategy, one to go on top of the wall, and one to man the platforms.
I put Player 2 (ninja) there to distract rockets, and for sniping. Player 1(gangsta) sends out some of the lower nades with the player you choose to keep off, the bottom player is really needed for counter strategies, such as responding to other walls and plats.

The uppermost platform and wall can be moved up a bit, making nading your higher up players harder, just saying that since I noticed a good nade would blow up the basket.

tell me what you think, I guess
