The best Pokemon is clearly Nic Cage Kabutops.

Hey, the next gen looks pretty cool.

Every gen looks cool until you actually get the game, and then there's an ice cream pokemon.

Re: Everything Pokémon

I don't see anything wrong with an icecream pokemon. s: I mean there was a magnet pokemon, and a pile of Slime pokemon in gen one and I also find those really cool. I can't really complain when it comes to pokemon designs. People say some gens have pokemon that are too complicated and then say some gens have pokemon that are too boring. I feel like there hasn't been a pokemon yet that doesn't really fit into the pokemon universe. Yes the latest gen had an icecream cone and a trash bag pokemon (I myself dont like the trash bag at all). But if you look at the other hundread pokemon that were also added, I see some really cool ones like Volcarona and Galvantula. The new dragon pokemon are also really neat looking. I am also really happy with the new attacks added.

Re: Everything Pokémon

All right, I'm at the very end of Pokemon Crystal; the only thing left to do is beat Red. However, all his pokemon are levels 75-80ish, so I need to pick six of my own pokemon to train up to a respectable level, because right now I probably have about 15 pokemon around the level 50 range. Anyway, I'm going to post them here, you people give opinions on which ones I should go forward with. (Any pokemon with an evolution left to go is going to undergo their evolution ... eventually; The ones in bold were my original team)

Alakazam
Gengar
Typhlosion
Ponyta
Growlithe
Houndoom
Aerodactyl
Rhyhorn
Lapras
Gyarados
Poliwrath
Golduck
Staryu
Seadra
Shellder
Dragonair (three of them)
Eevee (with every stone for the option of possibility)

Re: Everything Pokémon

Gengar, Jolteon, Houndoom, Poliwrath, Rhyhorn, Lapras

Houndoom and Jolteon should be doing your heavy lifting. Poliwrath is for taking out Snorlax, Rhyhorn is for taking out pikachu. Gengar can carry curse which is powerful against npc trainers, lapras can get a stab on ice moves, but is also pretty beefy.

Re: Everything Pokémon

Alakazam - Special Sweeper
Rhyhorn into Rhydon- physical tank
Lapras- Tank
Typhlosion- Mixed sweeper
Dragonair to Dragonite- (pick one with a high defensive nature) - Tank
Eevee into Vaporeon- Wall

If memory serves he has pikachu, one of each starter, and snorlax. Can't remember what else. Anyway I know he leads with pikachu so obviously lead rhydon. Your biggest problem will probably be snorlax. You'll have to hit him hard with physical moves. Everything else you should be able to switch into a type advantage and overpower.

Re: Everything Pokémon

You have to use psychological warfare against Red. Lead with a Magikarp. Follow with your best Ratatta. At this point, he will have been lulled into a false sense of security. While his guard is down, get him with your level 100 Rayquaza.

Re: Everything Pokémon

Step 1: Catch 6 Magikarp

Step 2: Train them all up to level 100.

Step 3: Tackle all opponents to make them faint.

Re: Everything Pokémon

I've found the objective of Smogon-esque battling is to try and sneak in as many Rayquazas as you can without your opponent knowing
Like, lead with a Blissey or a Gyarados to throw them off balance, then whip out 4-5 choice'd Rayquaza's

Re: Everything Pokémon

Rayquaza isn't a pokemon from the first two generations, so I have no idea what it is (and I really don't think I'm going to bother with a gen iii game either). Alakazam and Gyarados are pretty sick though. Arcanine and Houndoom are my personal favorites though.

Exactly. Red'll have no idea what's hitting him.

Also, this is Rayquaza:
