SFBA (Stick Figure Brawling Association)

Over the summer i will be making 2 games.
One of these games will be called Stick Figure Brawling Association.
SFBA Will be heavily based off of Mortal Kombat.
I need some help Brainstorming ideas for the characters and skins.

Ideas so far (All by me.)
Note: They all have the same health, speed, and agility

0-G
0-G Is a stick figure with the power of mind over matter. He can fling objects (or opponents) Using his mind.
(Still working on ideas for his moves and finisher)

Stealthy Stick
Stealthy Stick is a guy in a tree costume.
(Still working on ideas for his moves and finisher)

Possible Collab Character:
TW Stick,
or
Afro Ninja

If Afro Ninja would be willing to help me make this, i would put a link in the game to the game on his site. I will also Have a link to my site on the game on his page.
Anyone who takes the link to his site (or plays on his site) will get the collab character.
Anyone who takes the link to my site (or plays on my site) will get another character.

You guys can leave your own impression on my game if i accept your ideas.
I Also feel like Stealthy Stick could have a Shrub Skin.

I Was hoping for some sort of online thing, and i know afro has knowledge in that sort of stuff, so i was wondering if he would be willing to help me with that.

So if Afro won't be doing all the work, what parts would he do? What would you do? Coding? Art? Debugging? Music? How much are you willing to pay for his services?

Aren't you like 12 Crusher? You can barely dress yourself, let alone code functional flash games.

I'm not trying to create a "New Tw", So you can't compare me to that asshole.
In fact, this would generate more traffic to Afro if he wants to help.

I do in fact have coding knowledge.

I Only ask For the online lobby bit, and even then not the whole thing.
I Do art, and music, and the point of this over-the-summer exercise is to help me with coding and debugging. I Will be doing the bulk of this project.

Re: SFBA (Stick Figure Brawling Association)

Please explain the writing process for the music in your game. What instrument do you play? Were you think full orchestra or 8-bit?

In his defense 2 friends and myself had dreams of making a game years ago too. It was called Apostolic Journey and it was going to be an rpg set in the 'real' world, and my friends and I would have all been playable characters because we're vain like that.

We got as far as writing a full script of dialogue and plot, and I did some 16-bit sprites as well as collected midi versions of popular songs we liked and wanted for each level before we saw something shiny and forgot what we were doing.

So Crusher, while I'm giving you a hard time and showing skepticism towards your plans, it's not to be a jerk, it's because I've been there, but don't let me stop you, dream those dreams.

If you want help, you generally would want to showcase what you can do first

Re: SFBA (Stick Figure Brawling Association)

Good luck with your idea man. To paraphrase Mike, just dont let your eyes get bigger than your stomache. A decent game such as TW which is  a 3 on the 1-10 difficulty scale takes years of hard work. And continuous upkeep.  May the Force be with you.

Re: SFBA (Stick Figure Brawling Association)

Well, the metaphor is often used for food related ideas since it contains the word "stomache" but it generally means dont let your ideas extend your means. I think (well hope) most of you on here understand.

Re: SFBA (Stick Figure Brawling Association)

No it's just like the tagalog phrase, matakaw mata

Literally means greedy eyes, it's saying not to eat with your eyes when you look at food, seeing great food and planning to get a huge amount, in this case usually more than you can handle

That was my point of view anyways

Re: SFBA (Stick Figure Brawling Association)

If one has not eaten in 3 weeks, and sat down at a restaurant you would probably order the 54oz porterhouse steak, out of hunger, and inevitably you would not be able to eat it. Im referring to crusher making his first game, in the fact that dont aim so large on your first attempt.
